THE NEED

Washington is the 6th most unchurched state in the US, but is ripe for new church plants. And with the recent influx of residents moving to the Inland Empire from Seattle and California, the need now is greater than ever. The Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area is a prime space for the church to expand.

Why plant churches?

THE VIBE

The Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area is the economic and cultural center of the Inland Northwest.  With a growing population of nearly 800,000 the need for church plants is almost limitless.  People are moving to the area at a rapid pace, and what is unique about those moving into the area is that most of them are millennials (age 27-42).  What is even more exciting about this trend is that while many of the denominations are in decline, there has been a 240% increase in the number of people attending non-denominational churches in the area.  There is no lack for need and there appears also to be a very real openness to the simple Gospel of Jesus Christ.

THE DREAM

The Inland Empire, nestled among the best outdoor recreation in the US, is seeing unprecedented growth as people are flocking to the area looking for a return to nature, quality schools, and a slower pace of life. And we want the church to meet them at their arrival. The fields are ripe for harvest in this area and ready to welcome new church planters to meet the growing need.
