What is the prize?
Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 2:19 that the “crown” that he and his coworkers will glory in, in the presence of Jesus is the people they won to Christ. That means, after we have received the best prize, own own salvation in Christ. The prize we strive for on this side of heaven are other people. In fact, people are the only thing on this side of heaven that will last into eternity. An imperishable crown.

Prayer for the prize?
Paul sees his prize like a gold metal in the olympics. He is going to strive for it with everything he has. As a group of churches we have decided to strive to see 100,000 prizes won in the next decade. We know in our strength this is impossible, so we are going to spend an entire year praying for The Prize!
