Southeast Boise

It’s a beautiful community with a big need

The Need

New churches reach newer residents, younger residents, and those who are far from God. There are currently 5 protestant churches in the area. The churches in this area that are growing have nearly outgrown their space. This area of the city is one of the most unreached in the Boise Metro.

Why plant churches?

The Vibe

This community is one of Boise’s fastest-growing neighborhoods, it is a flourishing area with enviable access to the greenbelt, river, and the downtown core. One of Boise’s largest and most diverse neighborhoods, Southeast Boise is home to Boise State University and area landmarks such as Barber Park, Bown Crossing, and the Simplot Sports Complex. There are 31 thousand residents with twice as many residents within 10 minutes. The population is slightly younger than the rest of the city, and is well educated. Many residents work in the city and are looking for easy access to downtown.

The Dream

We see this area of Boise as a strategic next step for the church since there is still land to develop down the road and it is proximate to the city. The Boise Metro is expected to grow to over 1 million people by 2050. The high population of unchurched residents proves the need and we are looking for someone who has a heart for those who are far from God. There is a campus of an ICPA church plant in SE Boise already as well as members of Hill City, so there is a support system and network to help balance this plant and give it a place to take root.
