Why ICPA?

a Team Sport.
Church Planting shouldn’t mean choosing between the resources of a large network and people who actually know you, your community, and your church. The ICPA brings those worlds together.
For more than 50 years, we’ve helped churches plant churches across the Intermountain West. Today that means rigorous assessments, hands-on development, proven church planting tools, personalized coaching, funding partnerships, and relationships that continue long after launch.
Discernment
Our Multi-stage assessment process examines character, calling, marriage and family health, ministry fruit, disciple-making , leadership capacity, emotional maturity, theology, and church planting aptitude. Candidates move from pre-assessment through a comprehensive church planter profile, and ultimately a multi-day assessment intensive with experienced practitioners.
Proven Tools
We believe good stewardship means using the best resources available, not putting an ICPA logo on everything. We draw from proven church planting tools, training environments, coaching frameworks, and strategic partners while helping planters apply them to their actual mission field. We Partner with Passion for Planting, Exponential, Coach Approach Ministries and the Relational Discipleship Network while bringing our own local experience.

We believe in high support, not just high standards - We believe church planters deserve both high standards and high support. Assessment identifies strength, risks, development needs, but thats where our work begins, not where it ends.
We’re still here after launch - Launch Sunday isn’t graduation from the ICPA. Our coaches, regional catalysts, partner churches, and network remain available and around as the planter navigates leadership development, finances, discipleship, governance, staffing, multiplication and the
