Equipping &
Supporting Planters
The ICPA provides a practical pathway to equip, support, and sustain leaders stepping into church planting.
We know that healthy, multiplying churches require more than just a vision; they require practical tools, a supportive family network, and intentional development.
From initial evaluation to long-term funding, our resources are designed to ensure you hit the field prepared and never have to plant alone.

Our Services
Planting a healthy, multiplying church in the Intermountain West requires more than a seminary degree and a launch day strategy. It demands deep relational grounding and a highly intentional support system. Our development pathway equips leaders at every stage—from initial calling to financial sustainability—ensuring planters aren't just sent out, but actively sustained in the dirt where they minister.
-
We utilize the comprehensive Church Planter Profiles’ 85-question screening alongside our proprietary tools to help candidates gain a clear, unvarnished look at their readiness. This isn't a pass/fail exam; it's a vital, honest evaluation of your relational health, leadership capacity, and theological alignment to ensure you are fully prepared before breaking ground.
-
Moving beyond textbook theory, our residency program is a rigorous, on-the-ground development pathway. Planters and their families embed within a healthy, multiplying church to experience relational discipleship firsthand, gaining the practical reps and localized cultural context necessary to launch a resilient community.
-
Influenced heavily by proven disciple-making movements, our training equips leaders to shift from running programmatic services to developing authentic, multiplying disciples. We provide the training guides, localized resources, and vision-framing workshops required to embed a life-on-life culture into the very DNA of your new plant.
-
Ministry in this region can be deeply isolating, which is why planters need veterans who understand the specific friction of their zip code. Our network provides continuous, customized mentorship from experienced leaders who have navigated the same cultural hurdles, ensuring you have a sounding board and strategic guide long after launch day.
-
A vision cannot survive without a sustainable foundation. We guide planters through the complex realities of support-raising, shifting the focus toward a multiplication strategy that treats financial partnership as a catalytic investment rather than a one-time transaction. We provide the coaching, tools, and network connections needed to fully fund your mission.
How Else We Help
1. Prayer Walking:
We would love to dream and pray with you about God’s desire for a new church in your community, but we can take it a step further by putting “feet” on our prayers, moving toward the goal of seeing a church plant become a reality.
2. Intentional Churches Training:
We want to help churches to identify Christ’s unique vision for them in their community and help them to efficiently use their resources (capital, people, time, facilities, etc.) to become as effective as possible in reaching their community with the Gospel.
3. Transition or Crisis Training:
Churches that are seeking to become more effective at managing change, whether it be a change in leadership, or a dramatic shift in the culture, or struggling to find the balance between being full of grace and truthful, we are here to come alongside, praying for you, listening, and helping chart a course for a brighter future.
4. Pastoral Search:
One of the most difficult times for a church is that period of searching for new leadership. Again, the ICPA is available to help through prayer and mentoring, to develop a process that works for your individual church and a job profile that defines your unique needs as we help you network to discover the right person(s) to lead in your ministry.
