Funding
Church Plants

ICPA funding is a catalytic investment designed to turn new churches into sending churches from day one.

We do not just fund churches; we help plant churches that fund the next generation of senders.

Our 5% Multiplication Strategy

Generosity is not a milestone a church reaches only after securing a building or stabilizing its budget. It must be woven into the core DNA immediately.

“The ICPA Residency grounded me in three ways: Spiritual Discipline, Pragmatic Ministry, and Theological Depth. The Residency helped me BE a minister, not just DO ministry.”

Brian Crase
Spanish Fork, UT

Generosity That Reproduces

This multiplication cycle is already a proven reality across the Intermountain West. When a church commits to this level of intentional generosity, the downstream investment reaches into the millions.

Real Life North Spokane – 2010

Real Life on the Palouse (RLOP) contributed $77,000 to launch this plant, made possible directly by their 5% commitment to regional planting.

Real Life Pullman – 2020

Started as a campus by RLOP and officially released as an independent, multiplying church in 2020.

Real Life Grangeville –2015–2016

Launched through RLOP, later releasing as an independent church and now operating as a smaller house-church expression.

ECC Garden City – Easter of 2026

A new campus launched by the multiplying Eagle Christian Church.

For Partner Churches

For Church Planters

Your congregation does not have to plant a church entirely on its own to become a sending church. We handle the assessment and coaching, connecting your church with qualified planters ready to turn your direct financial support into a multiplying legacy of new congregations.

Financial sustainability does not have to be a solo burden. We provide the coaching needed to develop a funding strategy, connect you with partner churches, and inject direct ICPA resources into qualified plants. In return, we ask one primary question: Who will you invest in next?

More About
THE ICPA

The ICPA is a collaborative network of churches working together to expand God's mission throughout the Intermountain West. Recognizing that the Northwest is one of the most unchurched areas in the country, we focus our efforts across Idaho, Utah, Montana, Eastern Oregon, Eastern Washington, Western Wyoming, and Alberta, Canada.

Church Plant Funding FAQs

What is the funding range or structure?

1

ICPA intentionally does not use a one-size-fits-all funding model. We've used matching funds, declining multi-year support, and catalytic grants. Investment is shaped by the planter's approved budget, planting model, context, gifting, outside support, and actual need.

Who is eligible for ICPA funding?

2

Planters receiving ICPA funding must successfully complete our assessment process, align with the commitments outlined in Why Join the ICPA, participate financially in the partnership as their church develops, and embrace multiplication, including a commitment to help launch future churches from their church.

What benchmarks must a planter meet?

3

The primary gateway for funding is successfully completing the full ICPA assessment. From there, the amount and structure are determined around the specific planter and planting plan rather than a generic benchmark system.
